This notice explains the point-in-time location information collected when a Worker uses Jannie for attendance. “Company” means the business that employs or engages the Worker. “Jannie” means [JANNIE LEGAL ENTITY NAME], the Company’s software provider.
Information collected
When the Worker actively selects clock-in or clock-out, Jannie may request and record:
- latitude and longitude;
- the device-reported accuracy;
- date and time;
- the Company location selected or assigned; and
- the resulting attendance status and audit event.
Jannie does not continuously track the Worker, collect background location between attendance actions, or create a route history.
Purpose
The Company uses point-in-time location to document where an attendance action occurred, associate it with an authorized service location, maintain operational records, review exceptions, and support attendance, payroll-input, billing-input, and dispute records. Jannie processes the coordinates only to provide and secure the service.
Access and disclosure
Location may be available to Company users with an authorized operational need and to Jannie personnel or subprocessors only as needed to host, secure, support, or investigate the service. Exact coordinates are not intended to be sent to OpenAI and are not used for advertising or sale.
Retention
Point-in-time location may be retained with the related attendance record for up to four years while the Customer account is active, or for a shorter Customer-configured period. After termination, the export, archive, and deletion rules in the Privacy Policy and Customer agreement apply.
Choice and consequences
The Worker may decline or disable device location permission. If the Company requires location for attendance, Jannie cannot complete the digital clock-in or clock-out without it. The Worker must contact the Company about alternatives, work authorization, pay, accommodation, or disputes. Jannie makes no employment decision.

By selecting “Allow and continue,” I acknowledge that when I initiate clock-in or clock-out, Jannie will collect my device’s point-in-time coordinates, accuracy, date, and time for the Company purposes described above. I understand that Jannie does not continuously track me and that declining location prevents this digital attendance action. Questions about alternatives or employment consequences must be directed to the Company.
